Mr. Mendes is a South LA native, with a degree in psychology from LA Trade Tech. Since 2015 he has sought opportunities to engage in community outreach with the goal of building practices of empowerment among highly impacted and marginalized members of his neighborhood. Utilizing his experience gained both at CD Tech as an outreach intern and as an alumni of Public Allies working with T.R.U.S.T South LA program, he is spearheading OCLA’s direct outreach program based in South LA. Responsible for spreading the word about WIN door-to-door to area businesses, residences and encampments. Kevin is proud to play a part in preserving the integrity and beauty of his community by introducing others to the free helpful resources.
