Summary: Stressful situations can cause teenagers to feel overburdened and fall into a pattern of self-destruction that includes skipping school, excessive drug use or drinking or engaging in illegal activities. Mentoring programs can support teens through troubling times and prevent exposure to negativity to ensure a proactive journey in their time of need.
